PODS

For two decades now Pershore Operatic and Dramatic Society, known affectionately as 'PODS', have been raising the roof with laughter, promoting tears and leaving audiences to journey home happily whistling or humming their favourite tune. Having successfully brought a large number of the most popular shows in the world to the people of Pershore and friends beyond; experimented with drama and wooed youngsters with panto, "Oh yes we have!", the Society stands proud of its achievements. With a large following of supporters ensuring a sell-out to most shows the Society's reputation goes on and on.

Expertise has been learnt and the Society now boasts (experts) in costume, lighting, sound, stage craft and of course song and dance by a team of lively and creative actors and performers, who give a performance of a lifetime, every-time. Encouragement is also given to youngsters to perform or take an active role in the technical, behind-the-scenes roles, as a result we now have many of them going to drama school and one young technician who regularly bathes the London stage with his lighting skills.
