Ray Steadman, MBE

Ray Steadman, Managing Director of Number 8 received his MBE for services to the arts on Wednesday 19th March 2008.

"My family and I enjoyed last Wednesday's Investiture immensely. Although most recipients said they were a little disappointed not to see the Queen I found Prince Charles to be very warm and chatty. He asked lots of questions about our project particularly about long term sustainability. I told him that we did not have a huge salary bill and were supported by 200 volunteers. He said that he hoped that my MBE would help. I only wish that others equally deserving of the award could have been there too."
