After lapsing into a coma, he awoke 20 days later to find himself the victim of locked-in syndrome - mentally alert but a prisoner inside his own body, his only means of communicating was through blinking his left eye. He was taught to use an alphabet code and letter by letter he finds his voice and unlocks his prison body which he called Diving Bell and travels the borderless regions of freedom which he called The Butterfly. A bold adaptation of Jean-Dominique's memoirs .
