Little Miss Sunshine's Abigail Breslin plays Nim, a smart 11-year-old child living a tranquil life on a remote South Pacific island with her oceanographer dad, Jack.  Nim loves to read, especially her favourite fictional book hero Alex Rover - the world's greatest adventurer. One day, she replies to an email requesting information about a local volcano.
